The Story
Mellow Mood is a Norway-based DJ, curator and event organiser with Tanzanian and Rwandan roots. His sound moves through Afro House, Amapiano, Afro Tech and soulful African electronic music, shaped by a deep connection to both East African rhythm and Oslo's contemporary Afro scene.
He has performed across Norway, Tanzania and Vietnam, while also taking on key creative and organisational roles in major cultural events. Through Made in Oslo and Nyege Nyege Remix Oslo, Mellow Mood has contributed as both a performer and organiser — helping shape line-ups, curate music experiences and bring African sounds to wider audiences.
He is also the founder of HYPD and the W.T.H. event series, platforms built around music, community and cultural connection. Whether behind the decks or behind the scenes, he brings a strong understanding of how to create meaningful, well-curated experiences that move people.
